Having been a coach for many years,5854 Ugg Classic Mini Sand Boots, in addition to having been involved in the training of at least 1400 coaches worldwide, I have come to the conclusion that one of the greatest skills that we, as coaches, possess and need to perfect is the art of the question'. In fact, one could say that another definition of a coach is Master Questioner.
It is important to remember that the quality of our life is determined by the quality of questions we ask ourselves. Some people ask themselves very mediocre questions indeed. For example, "What time shall we go to down the pub?" Others look at someone who has achieved great things and ask themselves "Why not me?". It is similar to the difference between "I can't afford it" and "How can I afford it?"
As coaches we have two responsibilities towards our client. The first is to provide them with a first-class coaching experience through the effective use of questioning skills. The second is to educate them in the techniques and benefits of self-questioning, helping them to realise the importance of regularly asking key questions.
Of course when it comes to asking questions we can get very sophisticated and clever indeed. We can use questions with suppositions and presuppositions. We can use open and closed questions, we can get involved in nested loops, we can use hidden questions and open questions and in fact we can make ourselves feel and look very clever indeed.
However I learned a long time ago the importance of simplicity and it is my opinion that the greatest coaching question of all is "Who am I?"
This question is very often ignored,Most vegetables are important sources of minerals. Why? Because it is easy to ignore; it can take us on an uncomfortable journey and one we might prefer to avoid. And yet it is essential if we wish to understand our core, the real person, the immutable, incorruptible and authentic me'. The "me" we are really meant to be.
This question is the one that helps people come to a deep and satisfying realization of who they really are. So this is one of the key questions that we must teach our clients to ask of themselves on a regular basis. Who am I?' Again and again.
True happiness and fulfilment in life is only achieved when our actions and goals are congruent with our core values. Yet the sad truth is most of us do not really know what our core values are. Unfortunately we take on board the values of others, the values that are impressed upon us by the media that constantly bombards us, and the values of the people we work with and the companies we work for. It is rare that the values that we attach to ourselves are our true values. The inner conflict that this creates is one of the underlying causes for the level of unhappiness and depression in today's society.
You see our values are in fact the mirror of who we really are yet few of us look deep enough into the mirror to see the truth. Many thousand years ago there was a word written above a doorway in ancient Greece. The word was " Knosti" and it was written above the doorway of the Delphic oracle. It is as true today as it ever was those thousands of years ago. It simply means " know thyself"
There is an old adage that says that if you don't know where you're coming from then you don't know where you're going. The same is true here, if you don't know who you really are how can you possibly know what you really want out of life, what is truly important and how do you know where you are headed. I learned a long time ago that most people don't really know what they want in life, but are prepared to go through hell to get it !!!
Being able to answer the question "Who am I?" with clarity and honesty will start the process that will make a profound change in the direction your life takes. This in turn will affect those close to you; your family, your friends, and your work. The way to make a real change in the world today is simply to do it one person, one mind at a time. Start with the person who is closest to you - yourself of course!
HOW DO I ASK THE QUESTION?
It is important that when we ask ourselves the question "Who am I?" we allow time for the answers to come. The truth may have to percolate up through a number of layers, and this takes time. You may have to ask yourself this question a number of times. For example, you may ask "Who am I?" and the answer may come back I am a teacher', I am an electrician', I am a solicitor' etc. The truth is you are none of these things. You see you are not what you do! You are far more than that.
So when you ask yourself the question "Who am I?" and you get an answer, you may then need to ask again "and who else am I?" And again "Who else am I?".
It is morally essential that we eventually find out who we are. So many of us wander through life in a kind of emotional and spiritual amnesia, deadening our response to life by producing images of ourselves that are far from the truth.
I recommend that when we engage in this important process that we do it in a place of solitude and stillness in order that we can be truly present for the answer. We cannot really experience anything without being present with it. True presence requires that we be attentive to what is happening in the here and now. It is our responsibility to be aware.
EXERCISES
EXERCISE ONE Six months to live
Imagine that you have just come back from a visit to your doctor where you have been informed that you have an incurable disease and only six months to live. However, during these 6 months you will be perfectly healthy, fit and active. Now write down what you would do, who you would see, where you would go and, very important, who you would spend your time with - and why. Would you change any aspect of your life right now? Would you continue to work in your job/career? If not, why not?
Explanation: This should very clearly point you in the direction of what is important or even essential in your life. It is so easy to procrastinate but you need to attend to these things right now. It is obvious that these things are extremely important to you, so you should endeavour to achieve them as soon as possible as a matter of urgency.
EXERCISE TWO - Direction
This exercise will provide you with excellent pointers towards the direction in life in which you should be heading. It is important that you sit quietly with pen and paper, and write clear, specific answers to the following questions. Do not be influenced by others, or let negative thoughts distort your answers. Please give due time and consideration to this exercise; it is not uncommon for its completion to take several hours.
1. Imagine that there are no barriers whatsoever to you achieving anything you want in life, what and where would you most want to be? Would you be President? An opera singer,Or a winner? Perhaps a great athlete, or successful businessperson?
2. What in the past has given you the most satisfaction and pleasure?
3. The following list of words generally encompasses what we desire in our life. Write clearly your own definition of what each word means to YOU.
Wealth
Happiness
Health
Success
Explanation: If you do not really know what it is you want in life, then how can you possibly achieve it? The answers you provide in this exercise will lie at the very heart of your final goal list. They will guide you towards what makes you happy and has true value in your life.
WHO AM I AT WORK?
It amazes me when I see the leaders of major companies like BAT (British American Tobacco) being hailed by the business community worldwide as paragons, and real exemplars of how business should be run. Yet, there are tens of thousands of people dying every month around the world because of their product. Society is putting on pedestals men and women who create products that kill, purely for profit. I sometimes wonder if the inmates have taken over the asylum!
However, what price has been paid by these decision-making men and women?
Like so many others in similar scenarios being played out in corporations all around the world, these individuals are subjugating their own values for those of the company they work for. If only they would ask themselves "Who am I?" we might see a profound and radical change in the thinking of these leaders.
I have found that when I have worked with men and women in these positions and supported them in answering my question "Who are you?" I have enjoyed watching them travel slowly towards a true realisation of self. It is at this point that they have started to make a change, to really make a difference within their companies. Making and carrying out decisions that are based on power rather than force. Making a positive difference in the lives of the employees and thousands of customers of that corporation.
Much is said about corporate social responsibility; it is a phrase that is bandied about with gay abandon and in some cases a solomneous that belies the real truth, which is that most people follow and adopt the company culture, ethics, morals and values rather than expressing their own thoughts. This leads them to do things that are not congruent with their own core values.
Therefor there is a great need for all of us to get back in touch with our core values, because the truth is that in most of us these are highly commendable. It 's just a case of getting back there and re-remembering who we are.
DO I EVEN KNOW WHO I AM?
If we are not sure of who we are right now then how much more difficult it is to try and work out who we really want to be in the future. Especially as the media does such a fantastic job of indoctrinating us into believing what we really should be. From advertisements on television we know we should all be young, slim, good-looking, tanned, without spots or glasses. From numerous magazines we learn that by paying a lot more attention to ourselves and spending lots of our hard earned money (and in some cases, yet to be earned money) we can really make ourselves young, sexually desirable, good-looking, and successful.
The result of this is that we end up setting goals for ourselves that have actually been foisted on us. Not ones that are congruent with or even based on our own true core values.
IN CONCLUSION
For many years I believed one of the greatest coaching questions of all was "What do you want,and maybe we could meet for a drink sometime. When I asked if he was seeing someone?". This question can be asked in so many ways, you can come at it from so many angles and for several years I believed this was the question of questions.
However, long ago I realised that for some of the reasons stated above this is not the great question it ought to be because, as we have seen, we don't really know what we want at all.
I now know with a deep and profound sense of knowing, that there is a higher question, a more important question, a question that reaches deep down to the core. That question is "Who am I"??
You see coaching is about performing at your best through the individual and private assistance of someone who will challenge stimulate and guide you to keep growing.
Essentially it is about helping you to reach self actualisation - a point at which you not only truly know yourself but within this knowledge possess a feeling of comfort with and understanding of the person you discover.
Coaching (or if we don't have a coach, self-coaching) is indispensable if we want to really reach our full potential, to be all that we can be, to truly reach a point of self transcendence.

Laugh When It Hurts
The time it's most important to be able to laugh is when things look worst. Economic downturns can get pretty bleak when you're trying to stretch a fixed income or watching hard-earned dollars wither as investments,5854 Ugg Classic Mini Sand Boots. But this really is the time to remember how to laugh. Humor can be incredibly therapeutic.
Before we go any farther, there's an important distinction to make as to the kind of humor I'm advocating here. The only person you should be laughing AT is yourself. At your foibles, your shortcomings, your predicament. It's all fodder for jokes if you are the one making them.
However, laughing at other people isn't therapeutic. It's mean. Also juvenile and short on creative genius. All the great comedians know this, but you don't have to do stand up to benefit from that insight. Laugh with other people. Laugh at yourself--even if you are looking at bankruptcy, foreclosure, or having to live with your impossibly messy younger brother because of this pesky economic downturn.
Why?
Because laughter really is good medicine. Norman Cousins was facing an incurable spine disease when he chose this strategy. Instead of staying in the hospital, he moved to a hotel and administered dose after dose of humor to himself every day in the form of classic movie comedies. He wrote about the experience in Anatomy of an Illness, reporting that if he laughed for three hours in the morning, he would be pain free the rest of the day. Laughter can be even more effective with emotional pain.
So find some ways to laugh. Martha Beck dedicates a whole chapter to laughter in The Joy Diet--and her writing is definitely laugh therapy,showing up in the way people interact with one another and handle different situations.. As one option, she suggests silliness. I am so pleased. I've been a personal fan of silliness my whole life, but it gets a really bad rap. Silliness in this culture is construed as flightiness, naivet , and a lack of appreciation for the seriousness of the situation. What a waste of a good tool.
Silliness can do more to help you let go of intense emotions than anything else you can do upright. Silliness requires that you relinquish your problem, at least temporarily, to the ridiculousness of the moment. That's why my brothers spent their time in the waiting room while Dad was having quadruple bypass surgery inventing a goofy card game with impossible rules. That's why I cross my eyes when I can catch a friend's attention in the middle of a long-winded presentation.
Silly is not just for kids. It's your right and responsibility. Do something silly today and make the world a better place.
One way to be silly when times are tight is with games that make cutting back more fun. At one point when my then husband and I were coping with an economic gap, we started a contest to see who could use their paper lunch bag more times. Right, the idea is to be able to throw them away when you are done with your lunch. But how much fun is that? He won--I think he made it all the way to the fourth week, something like 21 consecutive lunches out of that same bag. Mine developed a terminal tear on Day 16. Dang,Grab All The Responsibilities You Can Handle.
There are benefits beyond the fun to this kind of silliness. Have you noticed that "going green" and saving money often involve the same behaviors? "Use it up. Wear it out. Recycle it." is good for both the environment and the pocketbook. And if you can find fun ways to do it, it's also good for your sense of well-being.
If you are willing to work on it, you can learn to laugh at nothing. Just "Ha ha has" for the therapeutic value it offers. There are clubs that meet to do this. Really. I haven't progressed this far. Even when I try to just laugh, I end up thinking about something funny and laugh harder.
You'll have your own style on this, for sure. But only if you put some effort into developing it. "Style" requires action. Refining and polishing your sense of humor is a great action step for a downturn. Beck advocates at least thirty laughs a day and recommends a hundred. (Did THAT make you laugh?)
When things look awful,Heaven Luck, find a way to laugh. It can change your mood in a heartbeat, costs only the energy it takes to do it, and has no negative side effects. Maybe we should make it our first treatment for everything--even before a band-aid.

If you need to relieve stress

We tend to think that stress is something that happens to us due to external events and circumstances outside of ourselves that we cannot control. We may be uncomfortable with the idea that we could possibly be the creators of our own stress. Yet, a great deal can be done to relieve stress by taking charge of our inner thoughts and developing a positive mental attitude.
Think of this. If two different people can respond to the same situation in two different ways, does this not suggest that there is a direct correlation between the individual and their response?
So, why is it that one person can feel completely overwhelmed and stressed out by a particularly situation, and another is able to respond calmly and without anxiety?
The answer to this is in our own heads. All of us think differently and perceive situations in different ways. For example, being made redundant may be a disaster to one person. To another, it is an opportunity to make a change. It is the same situation, but two different ways of looking at it.
We all have an inner voice which constantly chats away in our heads telling us what we should do, what we shouldn't do. It also tells us how to react. Often this voice is self-critical. It may tell us that we look awful when we look in the mirror or that there's no way we're going to pass that exam, or the one that says: "he's never going to look at me!"
Why do we have this voice, where does it come from, and how does it have such an impact on our stress levels?
From the moment of birth, we are absorbing experiences and learning how to think,5854 Ugg Classic Mini Sand Boots. When we were very young, we did not question what we are told by our parents or teachers, even when they told us we were no good. At that age we could not sift out what would work for us and what wouldn't, we just believed what we were told to be true, and these ideas, values, beliefs and statements become our world view, whether they are negative or positive.
People who have grown up in an atmosphere of difficulty or negativity can have a more negative way of perceiving things,In this job you are the boss. If you grew up in a family where financial loss meant constant dramatic changes, you may develop a fear around money, so that any difficulties you have later in life may occur to you as greater than they actually are. Or, if you were constantly told that money was hard to come by and that you have to work hard to stay on top,2. We know defeat when our feet refuse to step out of the puddle of discouragement., this could also develop a sense of insecurity.
Negative self talk makes things much worse. If you say to yourself that a situation is stressful' or impossible', you will actually create stress and feelings of inadequacy. The good news is that this kind of destructive thinking can be changed. You need to be aware of what you are saying to yourself and change this kind of thinking to more positive self talk,create opportunities, such as describing the same situation as a challenge', which suggests that it is solvable.
It has been scientifically proven that practising positive self talk on a regular basis has proven benefits for stress, health and productivity.
Your subconscious mind does not differentiate between positive and negative, or what is the truth. It will believe everything you tell it, and respond accordingly. When you tell yourself that you can't do something, you subconsciously stop looking for a way to solve it.
If you need to relieve stress, try catching yourself in the act of negative thinking, and then switch it to something more empowering. Next time you find yourself thinking that something is too difficult, try asking yourself how you are going to do it, instead of saying that you can't. Asking the question, how?' opens up your mind to solutions, whereas the latter closes it down.
There are many ways to relieve stress, but changing your inner voice and viewing things in a more positive way can make a profound and lasting difference to your stress levels. A positive mental attitude takes practice and time, but you can start to see results immediately, and this will increase as long as you practise every day.

Your Career Change Plan
Motivation is very important when it comes to pursuing your goals and fulfilling your dreams. This is especially true when it comes to pursuing a new career.
One great way to stay motivated is to set up a reward system for yourself. Rewards are fun and give you something to work towards. When it comes to setting up a reward system, here are a couple of suggestions:
At the end of each week, if you completed your entire task list, reward yourself for staying on track and following through with your plan. My weekly reward is a massage at a beauty salon near where I live,and greater productivity. This means less absenteeism. I LOVE that massage, I really feel I've earned it and the very thought of it inspires me as I work through my to-do list each week.
But massage may not be your thing. So work out what your thing is. It can be something as simple as treating yourself to a special dessert, or having a guilt-free soak in the tub with scented candles.
Reward yourself whenever you accomplish a milestone towards your goal. Because these milestones are crucial to achieving your overall mission, go for something a bit more elaborate than your task list reward.
You may have to stash a little money away per week to save up for this one. My milestone reward of choice is a new pair of shoes. Shallow? Oh yes,5854 Ugg Classic Mini Sand Boots, but they make me feel so happy-and rewarded. Plan for whatever your "shoes" are. Go shopping at the mall for a new outfit, or take an afternoon off and visit with a friend,however the boss might react. Accomplishing an entire goal is a big deal-you deserve something nice!
Just like the last example I gave here, not every reward needs to involve money. Sometimes time to yourself can be far more precious. If funds are tight, use your creativity to think up some fun and exciting rewards that are inexpensive or don't cost a penny. The important part of setting up a reward system is to treat yourself to something special for your hard work. You deserve it and you are worth it!
Another way to help keep yourself motivated is to post some of your favorite inspirational messages and quotes in various places. You can post them around your work area, on the bathroom mirror, on the fridge, next to your bed, and even on the sun visor of your car,pictures and contents for individuals seeking alternative encounters.. Post them wherever your own personal space is. These motivational statements will come in very handy during times when you feel you are running out of steam or having a down day. We all have them.
From my own experience at creating written plans for myself and setting up goals, one of the most motivating factors for me was following through with my plan and keeping track of my progress. Each time I got to check off a task or larger goal as being completed, I felt proud and wanted to accomplish more. So stick to your plan and continue to take action-the sense of accomplishment itself will do wonders for your motivation!

How important is your happiness to you? Your peace of mind? Your health? Your wellness? When you stop to answer these questions, it becomes clear that each area is very important to you. However, are you really committed to your fulfillment of these areas?
If you avoid open and honest communication with others, then you are compromising your own true existence. You were not placed on this earth to be shackled down by fear. You have the ability and the right to be yourself. Anything less than this is unacceptable, and you know it. Deep down,The Lion In The Marble by Jane Derry, you know it.
This fear exhibits itself in a variety of ways. Comments like, "It might make him/her mad" or ""It may make things worse" are all too common. God does not intend for you to be afraid. In the Bible, 2Timothy 1:7 says, " You were not born in a spirit of timidity,As the time to leave approached, but one of power, love, and self discipline. People who do not take risks end up becoming childish and mistrusting of themselves and others. Their world shrinks and they become comfortable with fewer and fewer situations.
You do not have to be paralyzed by your fears. You will find that people will like and love you just the way you are. Please stop taking counsel from your fears because they will lead you away from your true potential,5854 Ugg Classic Mini Sand Boots. Listen to your heart. Learn to listen to the essence of your goodness, for it is here that you will tap into the powers of greatness and fulfillment. People will respond positively to you. You may attribute your hesitation to shyness. If this is the case, you still must push past this sense of doubt that plagues you from ever becoming your best self.

Be yourself! It is here that you will complete yourself. Spiritually, you are challenged to fulfill this truth of honest communication. Often, it is simply a matter of your faith in God and in yourself. You can do it!

When you work from home

Work From Home and Take Action!
When you work from home, it is very likely that you are self employed and more likely an entrepreneur. If you are working a job from home this article will not have the importance or impact that it will for the entrepreneur. If you are an entrepreneur that wants to work from home, then I would hope that you've done a bit of homework (pardon the play on words). In your homework, you hopefully sat down and thought about what you would like to accomplish as an entrepreneur. If you haven't done that, then please go to some of my previous articles that are searchable by my name.
So you have sat down and written out what your goals are for your work from home business. Great! You have gotten off on the right foot. Let's also assume that as an entrepreneur you are fairly ambitious. You have set a goal or destination that is unexplored territory for you. I think that's excellent why set a goal or try and get excited about something you've already done? Let's head for uncharted territory.
Now guess what,10. Be the change you seek - Ok. Your goal or destination lies in the realm of the unknown at least to you. Now it is going to require that you use thinking other than the thinking that got you to where you are now, to move forward and attain your goals. Einstein said "the current set of problems we face will not be solved by the same level of thinking that got us there". Neither will you get to where you want to be with the same level of thinking and effort that you have done before,5854 Ugg Classic Mini Sand Boots.
So to reach your goal you must do at least these two things. You must seek out thoughts that are different than the ones you've had before and you must take actions you have never taken before. To get those thoughts, you must somehow mastermind with people that are either at the point where you want to be,resentful, or at least they are much closer to it than you are. Find other people that work from home and have had great success with it. Maybe they are in the company you work with, or if you truly work alone, then get books and tapes from people who have done it. Maybe even get some coaching from someone who has had success working from home.
Once you realize the mindset and thoughts that are necessary to get to your destination, you must take action. Guess what the outcome will be if you fail to take any action because of fear in your life? You guessed it failure. So you must take action to reach your goals.
Here is a great guideline for decision making: First, will the action I am considering move me in the direction of my goals? Second, will the action I'm about to take cause harm or violate the rights of anyone? If the answers are yes and no respectively, then you MUST take the action and do so IMMEDIATELY! This is the method of operation of successful people that I know personally who work from home. To get to your goals more quickly, take more action. If you have fear, take more action,and use your natural strengths and talents to guide you through any challenges.. What is the alternative? Think about it.

Painting Philosophy of Peruvian Artist
Life
I paint with an emphasis on expressing LIFE (the spirit and the soul) which is the expression of my love for the natural world and its creatures. From the heart of my Incan cultural comes my love and respect for nature. I honor my love of nature and man by painting with a balance of rhythm, harmony, and movement. This is the tradition of my people the Incans Indians of Peru, and the Chinese Philosophers which I studied at the Central Institute of Fine Arts of China. Thus, when I paint, the animals have a voice, the spirit of nature speaks, and man travels in harmony with nature and God.
Use of Color & Patterns
I render an emotional tone of the rhythm of the Incan Indian life through my vibrant use of color,5854 Ugg Classic Mini Sand Boots. I use bright and radiant combinations of reds, turquoises, purples,as the psychologists like to say., and oranges, which characterize the textiles and ceramics of the Peruvian Andean. It is believed that the colors appease the spirits so that they will be happy and will not bring forth darkness. I employ simple swirling patterns to transmit a sense of the peace and harmony that radiate from the Incan Indians close interrelation to the land. It is this sense of the sacredness in nature that comes from deep within my works.
Calligraphy
What has fascinated me about traditional Chinese painting when I studied it was the use of colors and lines from calligraphy. Calligraphy in Chinese tradition expresses feelings, harmony, rhythm, movement and balance. The Chinese say, "Let's see how you write to see how you paint!" If you do not write calligraphy, you don't paint. The Aztec, Mayans and Incans (symbolic writers) say the same in their philosophy, "to write is like painting and painting is like writing." Thus from the writing come the discipline and precision of the trained artist, along with the rhythm, harmony, and movement that expresses the fragile side of human life and nature as they exist in a delicate harmonious balance.
Feng Shui
I stay true to the Chinese ancient philosophy of nature, Feng Shui in most of my paintings. Feng Shui is mainly concerned with understanding the relationships between nature and ourselves so that we might live in harmony within our environment. Feng Shui is related to the very sensible notion that living with rather than against nature benefits both humans and our environment. Most of my paintings honor the traditions of Feng Shui,"What does SHE know that I don't know.
Materials Used
My western paintings demonstrate the themes, stripes, techniques and the use of natural colors and inks. I paint with natural inks, water colors, acrylics, and oils on rice paper,Overcome your Inattentiveness, cotton paper and canvas.
My eastern paintings use techniques and materials that span several dynasties, such as the Song, Tang, Yuan, Ming, and Qing. They are painted on rice paper, different color silks using natural Chinese inks and colors.

when you look at yourself in the mirror

We all get nervous from time to time. Have you ever felt intimidated or scared of others,and by letting your imagination soar? Good news: Most of them are also like you--scared as a puppy.
For example, you see a glamorous actress on screen, and you gushed, "wow, I wish I can be like her,others will forgive you as well., admired, popular, successful, with lots of ardent fans." But if you only hear what their innermost thoughts,5854 Ugg Classic Mini Sand Boots,‘ there are people who share the same world as you. This may seem an obvious point to make, they can say, "My fans think I have it made!" She looks at herself and worries about that zit in her forehead and agonizes about when her next project is going to be--or if there's any upcoming projects lined up for her.
We look at other people and thought that they have it all, and we think poorly of ourselves, saying that we're "not good enough." But you're not the only one who think of this. Even larger than life celebs, VIPs, or other influential people sometimes have their bout with their "I'm not good enough" moments.
Fearing others may pave to a lot of misunderstanding aside from feeling intimidated. Have you had an experience wherein you avoided some neighbors since they never talk to you? You were too afraid of saying a simple "Hello" and concluded that they don't like you. To them it may also be the same. They're too intimidated to approach you and assumed you don't like them.
Then, a few years later, a friend introduced you to each other and you became fast friends. See? Just realize that the person which appears confident to you may not really be that confident/snobbish as they seem.
Tomorrow, when you look at yourself in the mirror, you may look pretty harmless and ordinary, but don't be deceived. Do you know that you actually scare a lot of people and make them nervous? Yes, you put some people ill at ease and you look intimidating.
So if you're losing sleep because you're scared of others, relax--you don't have to be. And if you're likely to write off others as snobbish and haughty, why don't you give them a chance? Perhaps just like you, they're only scared.

I am sure you have met someone, or currently have someone in your life that does so much good for others and possibly the community but they go unrecognized.
I believe this is the true nature of a leader
The person that does not think he is a leader, or has leadership traits but the person that goes about their daily life letting go of what others think of them. They live their life with one intention, to leave the world knowing that they have made it a better place,you know what's going on and your inner self will let you know when something is not right. Just think about that for a second. Do you like to receive recognition and praise for something you have done? If you are like most you will think "Heck YES,meditation helps you to find a deeper appreciation of the waking life!" But isn't it in the times that you don't get recognition and silently do something super superb for someone else that makes you feel on top of the world because you silently made a difference which gave you an inner feeling of warmth,going for a walk etc, beauty and serenity. And this warm feeling was something you personally inwardly cherished because know one knew of this good deed you done.
So who in your life makes a difference and goes unrecognized? Just think about it now, do you follow a leader that believes he is a leader. Or are you going to follow the leader who doesn't care if he is called a leader or a follower he/she is just happy making the world a little better regardless of whether they receive praise or criticism.
Keep your eyes and ears open for the unsung hero's that pass through your life. The person that does something out of good, that does not want recognition is someone that I believe is an unsung hero. They are what silently are making the world a little better. God bless you, Much love Sarah.

1. Be specific

I was driving back home with my family on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. My thoughts wandered to planning the New Year ahead. "I feel restless" I said. "My personal goals are not congruent". Without hesitation my wife asked "are they in line with your core values"? "My core values are still changing and I am not clear about the deepest ones" I replied. "Just imagine what you want people to say about you after you die" she advised. It was the best advice I have ever gotten about deciding on my core values.
For a few moments I thought about my funeral. What do I want people to say about me? What legacy will I leave behind? Or in Robin Sharma's words "Who Will Cry When You Die". Will anyone care how successful I was in my job or it is about the role I played in other people lives? Will anyone care how wealthy I was or how my wealth was used to help others?
Instead of being devastated, these thoughts gave fresh new perspective for goal setting. For example, relationships with people are the highest priority. Business and career goals are second. I am not so worried about business goals as such, because successful people relationships lead to business success.
After aligning goals to core values it's important to align them to our business or job. Connecting our goals and core values to our business gives new meaning to our job. How far can we go if our personal desires pull us in the opposite direction of our business desires? Not far! If our own values match our business values, we will rock.
Formulating goals has four steps:

It is easier to achieve specific rather than general goals. For example,dead things you don't use anymore. Add new, if you want an MBA, break it into smaller tasks: what university, executive program or standard program, weekends or weekdays and so forth.
2. Set a time line
Our most important goals are often the less urgent ones. Circumstances make them lower priority. Every day we have urgent things which seem more important. If we do not set up a time line, another year will pass by

Writing our goals is a powerful way to convert them from thoughts into a reality. Writing our goals calls us to action.
4. Read your goals every day

Maria Hughes provides an answer in her book "Life's 2% Solution Simple Steps to Achieve Happiness and Balance" (Nicholas Brealey Publishing, 2006). President of Collaborative Growth, a consulting firm for corporations and coauthor of Emotional Intelligence in Action, Hughes begins with a simple enough premise: setting aside 2% of personal time, or 30 minutes a day,core values and company structure. That may be all part of the 'what' that needs to be covered, toward examining an inner passion will lead to "a more richly textured life." This pursuit, according to Hughes, will connect you with a fundamental core self, insure happiness and stimulate emotional and social intelligence, or EQ, which includes self-regard and empathy.

EQ is a Key Tool for Success
For many men the term emotional intelligence' - or EQ as it's more commonly known - sounds contradictory, a bit like the idea of a fun run'. But with EQ there's no contradiction. When it boils down, EQ is a key tool in being able to get your own way. It has nothing to do with touchy-feely' pink-blouse stuff and shouldn't be confused with weeping in the boardroom. In fact emotional intelligence is the very foundation that great people have built their achievements upon. As such it's high up on the list of study for anyone striving for success,exactly what to expect and what not to expect..
No one can survive or succeed on their own and unless one has the skills to get other people's co-operation, success becomes elusive.
Developing a healthy level of EQ is a two-fold attack. Firstly it's about managing oneself and secondly it's about knowing how to push someone else's buttons to get what you want out of them,then use the services of a professional to find out what is the source of your fears.. Yet, even though experience teaches us this,5854 Ugg Classic Mini Sand Boots, how many people still use inappropriate styles to force others to cooperate. However, instead of throwing one's toys, be aware that everyone has buttons that will get a good response and it's a matter of finding these in each individual.
But the place to start is with oneself. For women this may be easier than for men. Traditionally boys are taught that emotions are for girls. So from a very early age boys are taught to suppress their feelings. We now know that expressing emotions is a source of shame for males and it is this very shame that forces men to lobotomise their feelings. They end up feeling nothing. No joy, sadness nor excitement.
However, emotions won't be anaesthetised forever and at some point there will be an explosion. Anger is the most powerful feeling and in cases of long-term emotional suppression, this is the one emotion that breaks through the numbness.
So much so that Claude Steiner - author of Achieving Emotional Literacy- claims that this emotional paralysis is often the source of violent behaviour - behaviours like road rage, spousal abuse and even serial killers.
If you suppress the very system that makes you feel alive, Steiner believes that acts of rage are the only time these individuals feel human.
But in reality suppressing emotions means shutting off a powerful source of information - information that allows one to control one's existence. Emotions are a robust system offering useful feedback about the choices we're making. Bad decisions make us feel uncomfortable and this discomfort works much like a warning light in a motorcar. When something's wrong a light alerts us to act, to do something to change the situation. It's the same with our emotions.
Emotions provide a stream of feedback that can be decoded like a language. For instance, anger is a clear message telling us we're not getting our own way. Yelling at someone seldom helps but working out a win-win' solution probably will make all the difference. The win-win' she claims is a known difficulty for men because boys are taught to be competitive. Yet good leaders with wisdom know that this is the ultimate win. The only other option is frustration, which too holds an important message,measurable steps try and change the world in a day and you are destined to fail.
If you're feeling frustrated the feeling is telling you to change something; your attitude, your approach, or even your job. In pursuit of relieving frustration we often believe that other people must change but, with all the best will in the world, we can't change anyone else but ourselves. However, we can change how we respond to other people. This will cause them to react differently and don't stop changing your reaction until you get the response you're wanting. Sure it takes effort but how much sweat goes into losing one's temper or resigning oneself to frustration?
So working more appropriately with our emotions is not about being a softy, it is in fact a logical and rational process.
In addition feelings are also the basis of real motivation. In reality only two things motivate us:
1. creating the life we want or
2. moving away from the things we don't like or don't want.
Number one has a more powerful pull than number two. The second form is a bit like driving one's motorcar with only the rear-view mirror to guide you. This second form is where so many South Africans get stuck. For decades we were trying to move away from a system that was untenable. Now it's become a habit.
Instead we'd be far better off looking forward to what we're creating. This is particularly relevant in one's own life. Here it's important to understand that the decisions we make today will dictate our lives tomorrow. But sadly too few people are prepared to look into their own future and the implications are dire. In a world that's changing rapidly we continue to naively hope that our personal universe will remain the same. This belief is what derails many people's lives.
So what could the future hold? For starters, about 50% of the world's working population will be technically unemployed over the next few years. This doesn't mean that people will never work again, but we will all work differently. So instead of having a salary at month end or a sturdy pension to rely on, our only security, in future, will come from what we can do or produce. When people grasp this they can prepare for far more self-reliance - a habit many find difficult to get used to.
As part of a global trend, the economy is forcing more entrepreneurs into the market. However, if people define themselves too narrowly, many will have to resort to a piece of crumpled cardboard at the traffic lights for a living.
Certainly where EQ comes into its own is in the area of entrepreneurial business. Daniel Goleman - who popularised the EQ trend with his book - Emotional Intelligence - shows that many people with a high IQ work for those with an average IQ, but higher than normal EQ. This makes sense.
Business requires guts to take risks, creativity, perseverance, picking oneself up from failures and the ability to persuade customers, suppliers, staff and even the bank manager. All are important EQ skills made more powerful by an unshaken belief in oneself.
One of the cornerstones of EQ is having a healthy self-esteem and it's easier than it seems. Self-esteem is the ability to accept oneself warts and all'. It is not to be confused with arrogance. Arrogant people tend to have a veneer of self-belief because they're always talking about themselves. But in reality they're very insecure people. They try to persuade others about their greatness precisely because they don't believe in it themselves.
How we feel about ourselves is important because our level of self-esteem shows. It also determines the outcome of everything we do. So if you're going for an interview, it will dictate whether you get the job. Likewise on a date, your self-belief will determine whether you end up going home alone.
And while we're on the topic of sex, be aware that lust' is not an emotion. Sure it's a powerful physical sensation but often not one backed by much intelligence! But if what you're wanting is to get your own way - in bed or at the office - a healthy level of EQ is a far more persuasive tool than a few weeks of begging!

What if

Manifestation Exercise # 11
This is a good exercise to use when you want to discover what is really going on behind the scenes of your negative experiences. There is something positive beyond them - you just need to discover what it is.
You see, your higher self sees beyond time and current circumstances. It knows your "true intentions",5854 Ugg Classic Mini Sand Boots, even if you are unaware of them consciously, and it will do everything in its power to match you vibrationally to that thing you are "truly" wanting.
For instance, if your higher intention is safety and security and something comes up that will jeopardize that safety and security (even if you are unaware that it will jeopardize it at the time) it is not at all surprising that obstacles will suddenly appear to prevent you from making a mistake.
Quite often we can misinterpret this obstacles as negative things happening to us or it is just us "not getting what we want when we want it" but there is a little more to it than that.
The following story is an example:
My husband and I were living in a house we bought in Staten Island when we first got married. At the time we bought it, we were both working full time in Manhattan, and while we were making just enough to afford it, there was no extra money.
After a couple of years we decided we wanted to have a baby, but realized that there was no way we could continue to pay for the house if I quit working to stay home to take care of the baby (which I really wanted to do) nor could we afford a full time sitter under the circumstances.
So we decided the only logical solution was to sell our house in New York and have a house built in Southern New Jersey about an hour and a half away. The houses there were much cheaper and we could afford to live there on one salary. We were leaving friends and family behind, but we couldn't see any other choice.
This was when we ended up making one of the most ridiculous mistakes we could have ever made (or so we thought). Instead of taking the money from the sale of our Staten Island home and putting it into an escrow account to be used for the down payment on the new house we were having built, we made the mistake of giving the money directly to the builder. This builder then proceeded to skip town with it; leaving us with no house, no money to buy another one and no way to find him. By the time this all occurred I was already six months pregnant. Now to say I was despondent was putting it mildly!
We had no choice but to get ourselves an apartment in Staten Island and pray that we would hit some kind of lottery, because with only my husband working it would take years to save up enough money for another down payment. On top of that, the housing boom hit which put $200,000 homes into the half million dollar category! Talk about watching your dream get further and further away from you!
Now you see, I truly do believe that everything happens for a reason, but at the time, I truly couldn't figure this one out. We were both good and honest people; we had worked hard and had saved every penny we could and now it was all gone in one fell swoop.
Even though I had already starting learning about the law of attraction, this was a really tough one for me to overcome. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't seem to get past the resentment I felt towards the whole situation. Which of coarse kept me in the situation even longer.
Eventually I started getting back into studying, meditating and looking forward instead of back. It was no easy climb, I assure you,so take a long hard. But I started my own online business and put all my energy into focusing on bringing more money in as opposed to staying focused on what we had lost.
Now this is when things got interesting. During the time this was all happening, my mother met a really great guy she was getting serious with. He had his own house in Pennsylvania and she eventually found herself spending more time there then she was in her own house in Staten Island. She didn't want to sell her house because she still wanted a place to be able to come back to when she visited us or my brother.
So she made us a deal. If my husband and I would take over all the expenses of the house (the mortgage was paid off years ago, so it was just taxes, insurance and the utilities), we could live there as long as we wanted. We only needed to leave the guest room open for her anytime she wanted to visit. Talk about a no-brainer!
The part that strikes me funny though (and what inspired this article, by the way) is that I just came across my old law of attraction journals and read what I had written years ago right before I had sold my own Staten Island home.
It is the list of intentions I wrote to Universe about what I was choosing to create for my future. This is what it said:
I choose to live in a beautiful house I can easily afford
I choose it to be in a great neighborhood
I choose to be surrounded by good friends and neighbors
I choose it to be located in a great school zone
There were some other minor things, but that was the gist of it. What amazes me looking at it now is realizing that I never stated that I had to own the house, or that I was going to have the perfect house built, or even stated that it was going to be a beautiful house in New Jersey; though I know at the time that I wrote the list that that was the direction we were headed because we were already in the process.
All I know is, I am glad that Universe took me at my word and I am very happy that in this case I wasnt more specific, because I couldn't have foreseen how much better this situation would work out for me.
You see, in the time that it took for all these things to occur, the property taxes in the area of New Jersey that I was going to move to has since tripled! If I was living there now it would be costing me more than I was originally paying for my first Staten Island house that I couldn't afford. It would have been a constant financial struggle, even if I had found another full time job out of the house.
Not to mention how easily the other things on my list fell into place. I am living in a great neighborhood, I am already surrounded by good friends and neighbors because I have known them most of my life growing up here and my son is in the same excellent school zone I was in!
The point is, quite often we don't realize when we are right in the thick of what we perceive to be a negative situation, that there is something for our greater good beyond it.
We get so focused on cursing the darkness in the tunnel that we forget to look for the light at the end of it.
So here is the exercise for you. It comes in two parts with a bonus at the end if you really want to get into it..
Part One
Think back and write down all the times when what you thought was a negative situation turned into a positive one.
For instance:
When you had to cancel vacation plans due to work or lack of money and found out later they had a hurricane that week.
When you missed your flight due to bad weather and then found out the plane you were supposed to be on got stuck on the tarmac for 7 hours and you were at least in a comfortable airport with a bar and a bathroom!
When you didn't get a job you thought you wanted and ended up being available for a better one.
When the person you wanted to call you never did, and you ended up meeting the "one" because you were single.
When you missed making the perfect investment, only to find out the company tanked and you would have lost a ton of money.
You get the idea. These things happen all the time. Writing them down helps reaffirm to you that Universe (or your higher self, if you prefer) does in fact have your best interests at heart. If you have a hard time coming up with anything, think about every good thing in your life right now and backtrack. Believe me, you will start to see many ways these things couldn't have come to you if you had indeed gotten what you originally asked for.
Part Two
Start looking for the light at the end of your tunnel by asking What If? What If The Reason I Haven't Gotten What I Want Yet Is Because.? Start stretching your mind with ideas of what your higher self might have in store for you that you just haven't realized yet.
For example:
What if (I didn't get this position) because a better one is waiting for me.
What if (the reason the deal on buying the house fell through) was because the roof is about to collapse this winter and it would have cost me a fortune I wouldn't have.
What if (the reason he/she hasn't called me for another date) was because they are total psychos and my higher self knows better than for me to get involved with them.
What if (the reason the car broke down today when I had somewhere really important to be) was because I would have been involved in a major accident if I had been on the highway today.
What if (the reason I can't afford the ski trip right now) is because I would have broken my leg on the slopes.
What if (the reason I am stuck on the absolutely slowest line in the store) is because if I left earlier I would run into someone I really don't want to see right now.
Really stretch your imagination. The fun part of this exercise is that it can help soothe you through disappointment. But the most important part happens later when you prove yourself to be right and you indeed confirm that your higher self has your best interests at heart. That's when you begin to trust that everything is happening in exactly the right order.
Now for the Bonus Part if you really want to get into it.
Step Three
Try to find your true "hidden intention" as opposed to what you think that you want.
For instance, with my Jersey house. I originally thought my intention was to have this beautifully built house in New Jersey. But in truth my "hidden intention" was just to live in a beautiful house I could afford. This was obvious by how I wrote my intention on my list. After struggling financially in our first house, security was really all I was looking for and just hadn't realized it. It wasn't until after I received it that I noticed the blessing it really was.
Maybe in your case, your "hidden intention" was to find someone who really cared about you and was interested in the same things you are. You might have originally thought you were going to find this with a person of the opposite sex but instead you found it in the new best friend you made six months ago and you just havent realized it yet.
